Piešťany Wraps Festival

The second edition of the unique summer theater festival, which combines the merriment of the famous spa town of Piešťany, will take place on August 15th and 17th, 2025. The noble and elegant program of the second edition reflects the rich tradition of Piešťany, while also bringing a fresh wave of humor and joy, ideal for summer days.

During the summer season, you'll find plenty of opportunities to spend time outside of hotel services or spa treatments. Some of the biggest attractions, not only for adrenaline enthusiasts, include:

• Ratnovská Cove – lovers of wakeboarding, wakeskating, or water skiing will enjoy this place. Haven't tried it yet? No worries, with the help of professional instructors, you'll surely manage! It is located approximately 6 km from the hotel.
• Sĺňava – one of the warmest water reservoirs in Slovakia offers not only relaxing, swimming, or water fun but also excellent conditions for windsurfing, boating, or canoeing. It is located approximately 4 km from the hotel along the Váh River.
• Funny Park – children and adults alike can have endless fun in this fantastic inflatable aqua park. It is just 3.6 km from the hotel.
• Striebornica is known for its beautiful environment and peaceful atmosphere. It is accessible by a road lined with trees and forests. It is especially popular with fishermen. It is located in the village of Moravany nad Váhom, approximately 7 km from the hotel.
• Lido is a place suitable for walks, barbecues, and swimming. It is accessible via a suspension bridge just a few steps from the hotel.
• Zelená Voda is a recreational center. The water is hygienically impeccable, suitable for swimming. The water area is also used for boating, windsurfing, and other water sports. It is also a popular fishing ground. The center's grounds feature numerous sports facilities where you can play tennis, volleyball (beach), football, mini-golf, or ride horses. The lake is about 20 km from the hotel in the direction of Nové Mesto nad Váhom.
• Horná Streda Lake is popular for its clean water, groomed beaches, and sports facilities. There are also refreshment stands. The lake is 8 km from Piešťany and can be reached by bike along the Váh canal.

For active visitors, Piešťany and its surrounding area offer a true sports paradise. Among the numerous sports facilities, one can mention for example:

Cyclotourism is also highly developed, with its 150 km of cycling routes, excellent conditions for inline skating are offered by the Sĺňava circular track, and you can also ride Paso Fino Colombiano horses.

Where to Go for Culture?

Every generation has a different understanding of culture. If you're in the mood for a movie, check out the offerings at Fontána Cinema or the cinema at the House of Arts Piešťany. The House of Arts also regularly hosts various theater performances, dance shows, and concerts.

If you're interested in history, visit some of the museums in Piešťany. Popular ones include the Imrich Winter Balneological Museum Piešťany, which you can reach from the hotel in a few minutes with a pleasant walk along the riverbank and through the city park, or the Military Historical Museum Piešťany.

In the city park, you can also visit the music pavilion, which is a venue for performances by various well-known and lesser-known artists.

Považie Rich in Castles and Chateaux

It would be difficult to find a region in Slovakia with more castles, chateaux, or castle ruins than Považie. Around Piešťany, you can visit the legendary castles of Beckov, Červený kameň, and Čachtický hrad. Visits to Trenčín, Topoľčany, or Nitra castles and the Smolenice chateau are also interesting. Less than a 20-minute drive from the hotel is the village of Podolie, where it's worth visiting the educational Miniature Park.

Organized Events

The traditional start of the summer season is a celebration with a rich cultural program called the Opening of the Summer Spa Season. It has been held annually during the first weekend of June since 1992.

In June, there is also a multi-day showcase of historic vehicles called Piešťany Golden Ribbons, which you should definitely not miss during your stay at Hotel Park.

Until recently, Piešťany Airport was known for organizing large events. However, with the increasing interest in air travel, even one of the most famous Piešťany festivals – Grape – has to find a new home. On the other hand, Piešťany Airport is set to become the traditional home of the aviation event Festival of Aviation Piešťany, whose first edition took place in 2019.

Besides the Grape festival, other music festivals with national and international significance, such as Topfest and Lodenica, are held annually in Piešťany.

Film enthusiasts will also find something to enjoy in Piešťany. The international film festival Cinematik is held here annually.

Piešťany also offers a unique atmosphere during Advent, when Christmas markets are organized.

To the Animals on the Farm, Zoo, and Shelter

If you are an animal lover or want to take your children to see them, you can do so even during your stay at Hotel Park. On the spa island, a pleasant fifteen-minute walk from the hotel, there is a Bird Mini Zoo. You can do a good deed by visiting the Piešťany shelter. Even if you cannot adopt any of the abandoned animals, your presence or a small tasty gift will surely delight them.

"Exotic" animals have their home in the interactive ZOO EKO PARK Piešťany, which you can reach by car from the hotel in less than 10 minutes.
